Cancer Survivor Story on Pubslush - GalleyCat

Writer Bethany Parks is one of many authors looking for support on the new publishing site, Pubslush Press. We?ve embedded a video for Flipping Chairs above?a memoir about Parks? battle with cancer.

Pubslush Press is a new site for readers and writers. Writers post about their work and seek supporters to pre-order their book. Once they meet a minimum funding requirement, Pubslush Press will publish the book. Like Kickstarter, donors aren?t charged until the project is funded.

Here?s more about Parks? project: ?Forty one years old, single, no children. Highly motivated and successful salesperson. A not-so-great tri-athlete; but a driven, ambitious, stark, raving Type A soul. Then cancer and I did our dance ? my own mortality had kicked me in the face. So one day I opted out of materialism. Done. Kaput. Over. Well, at least for a while. There had to be something more to life. There had to be a reason that I was still here on this marble in the universe. And I was determined to find it. Three years, 50,000 miles, four blogs, 27 Kenyan orphans, two cats and one fabulous minivan have brought me to a place of understanding. This is my story.?
