REVERSING AUTISM ? REVERSING AUTISM

REVERSING AUTISM - REVERSING AUTISMClick Image To Visit SiteThe diagnosis or suspicion that your child has autism or pervasive developmental disorder can be overwhelming and of course hugely stressful for you and other members of your family. With a determined effort from a parent or guardian however, your child?s symptoms of autism can be reversed. A noticeable difference is often seen in a short period of time, with amazing, sometimes miraculous long term results.

When I first started out on the road to helping my son recover from autism, I had no information whatsoever. Luckily my instincts (and my mother) told me to consider modifying the diet, which I did with amazing success. Since then I have read many books on the subject of treating autism with diet and other therapies. They were hugely informative but often contained medical terms and treatments that were complex and not really geared towards parents of newly diagnosed autistic children. Also, I have found over the years that many parents of autistic children are daunted or confused about the diet, are reluctant to even start and do not understand how vitally important the intestinal health is of their child. This year I finally made the time to write a book specifically for parents of an autistic child which has ?.

This book is the culmination of 10 years of research, experimentation and life experience as the mother of a previously autistic child.

Whilst best results are usually seen in children under the age of five, the 7 step plan can be applied to any autistic person of any age. (I have seen significant improvements in teenagers and adults, however it will take longer and it may be too late to completely reverse all autistic behaviors)

Not all parents can afford, or have access to early intervention centers or alternative health practitioners who have expertise in treating autistic children. I hope this book will provide a clear path to follow for those parents struggling and trying to do it all on their own.

*Ebook is a pdf file which you download then save to your documents. Contact me if you would prefer a paperback copy or format suitable for ebook readers

*Note to Grandparents: If you are not able to convince the parents to change your grandchild?s diet then giving specific supplements (step 2 and 3) and taking them to other therapies (step 6) will still make a significant difference long term.

Don?t battle for years with autism, stumbling from one therapy to another with no real direction or with any clue as to what works or not. My plan works and my son is wonderful proof of that, so don?t waste any more time. The younger your child the better the results so get started today! If you do nothing, one thing is certain, your autistic child will never improve on their own. I only wish someone had handed me this book when my son was 2 years old, it would have saved years of pain and suffering for my little boy, not to mention the trauma and strain he placed on family life. The answer you are looking for is right in front of you.

Oliver at 7 years. Happy, healthy, bright eyed and a delight to be around! (3 years after changing diet)

Just imagine how relieved you will be as a parent when you finally see that your child is no longer fearful and uncomfortable in social settings. Not only does socialization and behavior improve, but it?s improvement in the little things like regular eye contact, and having delightful conversations with your child. There is nothing better than sharing those special looks of understanding that only a parent and child can have for each other. You just never know, maybe they will even laugh at dad?s jokes!

This book has An Easy To Follow 7- STEP PLAN (Having the guidance of a suitable health practitioner would be great, however it is not necessary for success). These are all steps you can do by yourself. I have done it so you can too! It?s so important that you begin to heal your child of autism at an early age. The most significant improvements are made with autistic children under the age of 5.

Many books tell you what you need to do but they don?t actually tell you step by step how to do it. I NOT ONLY TELL YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO DO, BUT ALSO WHY AND, MOST IMPORTANTLY, HOW TO GO ABOUT IT.

Did you know that your autistic child?s immune system and consequently their intestinal health is out of balance due to genetic factors and environmental triggers. For this reason your child is unable to correctly process some foods which leads to neurotoxins being formed in the digestive system. These neurotoxins travel to the brain and are a significant cause of autistic symptoms in many of our children.

As you may or may not already know, most autistic children have an inability to digest gluten and casein and to absorb nutrients due to inflammation in the gut. Even tiny amounts of gluten/casein can cause harm and neurotoxic behaviors. This means that despite your child having a healthy diet their body and brain are deprived of vital nutrients. The primary treatment for the inability to digest gluten and casein is simply to remove it from the diet completely.

STEP ONE details the gluten free/casein free diet and why it is so important for recovery to? Read more?

Extended IRS Tax Relief for Hurricane Sandy Victims

Late last week, the IRS updated its filing and payment requirements for victims of Hurricane Sandy in an attempt to bring more tax relief to more people. I initially blogged about the IRS providing tax help to hurricane victims by extended filing and payment requirements for business owners and their tax preparers. Since then, the IRS has more broadly extended its tax relief efforts based on the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) disaster declarations as it became clear more taxpayers were in need of more IRS tax help.

The November 2, 2012?IRS bulletin stated that affected taxpayers in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York have had their return filing and tax payment deadline extended to Feb. 1, 2013 automatically by the IRS; taxpayers do not need to contact the IRS to participate. During this time, any interest, late-payment or late-filing IRS penalty will be abated.

This includes the following returns:

  • Fourth quarter individual estimated tax payment.
  • Payroll and excise tax returns and accompanying payments for the third and fourth quarters.
  • Tax-exempt organizations who are required to file Form 990 series returns.

The IRS is also waiving failure-to-deposit penalties for federal payroll and excise tax deposits if the deposits are made by Nov. 26, 2012.

IRS relief is also eligible to the following people:

  • Taxpayers living outside the FEMA designated disaster area whose books, records or tax professional were affected by Hurricane Sandy.
  • Workers who are assisting in relief efforts within the affected disaster areas who are affiliated with a recognized government or philanthropic organization.

Taxpayers who live outside the impacted area and who believe they may qualify for IRS tax relief are encouraged to contact the IRS at 866-562-5227. Note: you WILL be required to contact the IRS about your tax matter and will want to do so to prevent any IRS problems from occurring.

More details and information are on available on the disaster relief page on IRS.gov.

Tips For Creating Championship Teams | Small Business ...

Great coaches take into consideration an athlete?s talent and heart when they?re building a team, but they consider group dynamics, too, says entrepreneur J. Allan McCarthy.

?It?s not just a matter of getting the fastest, strongest and smartest players on your side,? says McCarthy, an international scaling expert and author of Beyond Genius, Innovation & Luck: The ?Rocket Science? of Building High-Performance Corporations (www.mccarthyandaffiliates.com).

?If you?re building a championship team, you?re gauging how the individual athletes fit together; how their personalities, talents, drive and abilities will mesh to meet the team?s goals. It?s exactly what you need to do to build a winning corporate team. As Michael Jordan, put it, ?Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.? ?

In the 2011 film Moneyball, Coach Billy Beane picks his players based on analysis and evidence, says McCarthy, who has worked with hundreds of companies. He doesn?t ever just ?go with his gut.?

McCarthy provides key points for building a successful, effective team:

??Lead with a team, not a group: A team of leaders behaves very differently than a group of leaders. Many companies don?t know the difference. ?It comes down to clear goals, interdependencies and rules of engagement,? McCarthy says, Every corporation claims to hire only the best and the brightest but it is evident that getting the best and brightest to function as a team can be a challenge.

??Know your goals: McCarthy cites Bill Gates ? ?Teams should be able to act with the same unity of purpose and focus as a well-motivated individual.? Many big-name CEOs like to say their talent runs free with innovative ideas. ?It makes for compelling literature,? McCarthy says. But would that work on the football field? Corporations need their personnel to think out-of-the-box but also act in a prescriptive culture ? to work within a system in order to achieve common objectives.

??Not everyone can be the coach ? or the quarterback: The problem with executives is that they all want to lead and none want to follow, McCarthy says. A team made up of executives is like a group of thoroughbred stallions confined to a small space called an organization ? plenty of kicking, biting and discord. Thoroughbreds don?t naturally work well as a team. Better to define responsibilities that build a ?foxhole mentality,? wherein one person has the gun, the other the bullets, McCarthy says. It?s in the best interests of both for each to succeed.

??The strongest teams are adept at resolving conflict: Hiring the best and the brightest should create a diverse, competent group ? but inevitably these stallions generate friction that can sabotage company progress. So, sensitize team members to the early warning signs: know-it-all attitudes, multi-tasking during team meetings, exhibiting dominant behavior, not responding in a timely fashion or engaging in avoidance. Agree, as a team, on how to mutually manage and minimize counterproductive behaviors as they surface.

??Create individual and team agreements: Here is where the ?rubber meets the road? ? it?s the final stage of planning who will do what for team objectives, as well as a collective agreement on team rules and interdependencies. Ask individuals to openly commit to what they will do, and how the team is to function. The public declaration stresses employee obligation and collaborative management.

?We live in a 21st-century economy where speed and efficiency is a top priority, and that often means a ?shoot first, ask questions later? mentality,? McCarthy says. ?But you get the team that you plan for, not necessarily what you pay for. If time is money, then I?d invest it in creating and building a championship team.?

J. Allan McCarthy, principal of J.A. McCarthy & Affiliates, has more than 20 years of experience across 15 industries and more than 200 companies. He is a scaling expert who helps organizations determine how to best align strategy, structure and workforce capabilities. He earned his master?s of management from Golden Gate University, a Stanford University AEA MBA refresher, and has worked with many international companies, including Cisco Systems, Raychem Corporation, SAP Inc., Redback Networks, BEA Systems and Ericsson.

Church & Dwight's 3Q gets lift from detergent

PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) -- Church & Dwight Co. said Monday that increasing demand for its products, including Arm & Hammer liquid detergent and Trojan condoms, helped lift its net income 18 percent in the third quarter.

The company, which makes a range of consumer products including kitty litter, toothbrushes, baking soda and pregnancy tests, boosted its outlook for the year, citing its strong quarterly performance. It also increased its per-share guidance for next year by a penny.

For the period ended Sept. 30, the company said it earned $93.9 million, or 66 cents per share. That's compared with $79.6 million, or 54 cents per share, in the year-ago period. Revenue rose 3.5 percent to $725.2 million, with a big boost from volume growth.

Analysts expected a profit of 59 cents per share on revenue of $720.2 million, according to FactSet.

Church & Dwight says sales for its U.S. consumer goods unit, its largest by revenue, rose nearly 5 percent to $530.4 million. The company said it had record quarterly market share for Arm & Hammer and XTRA liquid laundry detergent, as well as Trojan condoms.

International revenue rose 2 percent to $131.1 million.

Despite higher costs for raw materials, the company said its profitability increased, citing benefits from a price increase for cat litter, new products and in-house production of certain detergents.

Because of the stronger-than-expected third quarter, Church & Dwight now expects to earn $2.43 per share for the year, up from its previous guidance of $2.39 to $2.41 per share and topping analysts' expectation of $2.41 per share.

The outlook does not include any potential impact as a result of Superstorm Sandy.

For the current quarter, however, the company, which is based in Princeton, N.J., expects profit of 55 cents per share, short of analysts' prediction of 61 cents per share.

For 2013, the company now expects earnings of $2.74 to $2.79 per share, up from its previous guidance of $2.73 to $2.78 per share and bracketing analysts' forecast of $2.74 per share.

Stock market edges up a day ahead of election

(AP Photo/John Minchillo, File)

(AP) ? On the day before the U.S. presidential election, stock indexes managed slight gains in thin trading.

After wavering between small gains and losses, the Dow Jones industrial average ended with a gain of 19.28 points to start the week, closing at 13,112.44 on Monday.

Uncertainty surrounding the election will prevent most investors from making any big moves before it's over, said Randy Frederick, managing director of active trading and derivatives at the brokerage Charles Schwab.

National polls show President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney locked in a tight race. The two candidates are spending the final days of the campaign holding rallies in Ohio and other states considered crucial to winning the White House.

"I honestly think the markets are going to sit here and mark time," Frederick said. "The markets have a tendency to trade sideways before big news events, and nothing is bigger than a presidential election."

Frederick said he believes that no matter who wins, the stock market will likely surge once it's over for the sole reason that investors will know the name of the next president.

But that's assuming there's a winner by Wednesday. If the election comes down to a thin margin in a swing state, the outcome could be delayed for days.

In other Monday trading, the Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 3.06 points to 1,417.26, while the Nasdaq composite index climbed 17 points to 2,999.66. Just 2.9 billion shares were traded on the New York Stock Exchange, well below the recent average.

Apple rose $7.82 to $584.62. The company said it sold 3 million iPads in the three days after launching a smaller version, the Mini. Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, said the iPad Mini is "practically sold out."

In the market for U.S. government debt, the yield on the 10-year Treasury note fell to 1.68 percent, down from 1.72 percent late Friday.

There was only one major economic report, a measure of activity among so-called service companies, which employ about 90 percent of the American workforce. The Institute for Supply Management's service-sector index showed growth in October, but at a slower pace than in September, and just short of what economists expected.

In Europe, renewed focus on Greece's economic problems combined with uncertainty over the U.S. election to push markets lower. Germany's benchmark index, the DAX, dropped 0.5 percent, and the CAC-40 in France fell 1.3 percent.

"With the race so close, investors are understandably risk-averse today," said James Hughes, chief market analyst at Alpari, a London brokerage.

Among stocks making big moves:

? Tesla Motors jumped 9 percent after the maker of rechargable electric cars said it was now producing enough of its Model S cars to generate positive cash flow. Tesla, the brainchild of PayPal billionaire and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, now has two all-electric models on the market, the $109,000 Roadster and the new Model S. The company's stock gained $2.58 to $31.50.

? Stifel Financial said it reached an agreement to buy the investment bank KBW in a $575 million deal. The boards of both companies have already signed off, but shareholders of KBW and regulators must follow suit. KBW's stock leapt $1.17 to $17.47.

? Time Warner Cable lost 6 percent, the biggest drop of any company in the S&P 500. The country's second-largest cable company posted earnings Monday morning that fell short of analysts' predictions. Time Warner reported stronger revenue across most of its businesses but lost 140,000 cable TV subscribers in three months. The company's stock fell $6.24 to $91.93.
