New Hampshire drug remedy clinics are taking care of Addiction ...

Within the current past, New Hampshire has observed an exponential increase in scenarios of drug trafficking. Be it marijuana, crack cocaine or methamphetamine, you can agree with me that drugs are readily available in New Hampshire. The vast majority of these drugs are normally smuggled from Mexico through air, sea or road backlinks. Marijuana is notably the most dominant and more so readily available drug in this state. In truth it has been a significant result in of concern for a vast majority of New Hampshire drug remedy centres. Within the other side of the coin, the use of methamphetamine has been steadily rising primarily on the coastline. These two kinds of medication are hitting the news and brought about quite a bit of concern from a vast majority of law enforcement agencies right here in New Hampshire. Even though laws have already been put in spot to help control this menace, there are actually all indicators that this trend might just go on unabated. Let us now search at some of the medication which can be commonly abused by residents here in New Hampshire.

Cocaine

This drug is stated to become readily available in quite a few parts of this state. In most cases, this drug is smuggled in the southern states such as Florida, Texas, and Chicago. Crack cocaine would be the most usually used form of cocaine right here. It's sold in back streets. Though the inner cities have recorded many cocaine use cases, the amount of people that are really using the product has remained stable for the previous one decade. Cocaine trade is linked to the increases in city poverty, thefts, crimes and violence amongst lots of other social and economic problems.

Heroin

The use of Heroine in New Hampshire has been escalating steadily previously two decades. In reality it's sparked lots of concern from drug treatment in New Hampshire service providers. Most inner city dwellers have created this product or service their drug of decision mainly because of its very low price, purity and availability. A greater vast majority of the counts of Heroin smuggled into this state comes from New York City and Boston. SE and Mexican heroin varieties are incredibly widespread in this region. Mexican migrant workers play a element inside the trafficking of this drug into New Hampshire.

Methamphetamine

This is one of the handful of medication who use is on an exponential rise inside the latest previous. It has in truth sparked a lot of concern from distinctive law enforcers and drug abuse recovery centers. Abuse of the drug in New Hampshire continues to be reported to be increasing during the last two decades. The drug is even getting used in unique parts around the globe and primarily in coastlines. The major sources are Columbia and Mexico. Automobiles coming from your southern states are used to smuggle this drug into this region. Hispanic migrants have also been noted to help inside the distribution of this drug here. Now it is the duty of just about every citizen to stop the drug abuse and bring the drug addicted people for the new hampshire drug treatment facilities.

Pharmaceutical drugs

If you didn't know, pharmaceutical drugs are abused a great deal. Some of the abused drugs in this state include things like hydrocodone, methadone, xanax, lortab, oxycontin and diazepam. They're commonly acquired through forged prescriptions.

These are just but a mere representation of some of the most normally abused medication in this area. Companies offering drug remedy in New Hampshire have been persistently coping with this problem.

Egypt's Morsi announces vote on draft constitution

Mona El-Tahawy explains why President Mohammed Morsi's recent decree is very insulting to many Egyptians who demonstrated against Former President Hosni Mubarak's regime.

By Alistair Lyon and Tamim Elyan, Reuters

UPDATED AT 3:55 p.m. ET: CAIRO, Egypt?-- After Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi received a final draft of the constitution from the Islamist-dominated assembly, he called for a Dec. 15 referendum and urged a national dialogue.

This latest move indicates that the president aims to appease demonstrators who accused him last week of attempting to assume Pharoah-like status after he expanded his presidential powers.

The protests come from both sides -- on Saturday, at least 200,000 Islamists demonstrated in Cairo in support of Morsi.

"The people want the implementation of God's law," chanted flag-waving demonstrators, many of them bused in from the countryside, who choked streets leading to Cairo University, where Mursi's Muslim Brotherhood had called the protest.

Morsi set?the date for a referendum on the constitution after it was hastily approved after a 19-hour session.

Morsi plunged Egypt into a crisis last week when he gave himself extensive powers and put his decisions beyond judicial challenge, saying this was a temporary measure to speed Egypt's democratic transition until the new constitution is in place.

His assertion of authority in a decree issued on November 22, a day after he won world praise for brokering a Gaza truce between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist Hamas movement, dismayed his opponents and widened divisions among Egypt's 83 million people.

Analysis: Egyptians fear decades of Muslim Brotherhood rule, warn Morsi is no friend of US

Morsi, once a Muslim Brotherhood figure, has put his liberal, leftist, Christian and other opponents in a bind. If they boycott the referendum, the constitution would pass anyway.

If they secured a "no" vote to defeat the draft, the president could retain the powers he has unilaterally assumed.

As protesters clashes, President Mohammed Morsi of Egypt announced a referendum on a proposed constitution. NBC's Jim Maceda reports.

And Egypt's quest to replace the basic law that underpinned Mubarak's 30 years of army-backed one-man rule would also return to square one, creating more uncertainty in a nation in dire economic straits and seeking a $4.8 billion loan from the IMF.

Morsi's well-organized Muslim Brotherhood and its ultra-orthodox Salafi allies, however, are convinced they can win the referendum by mobilizing their own supporters and the millions of Egyptians weary of political turmoil and disruption.

"There is no place for dictatorship," the president said on Thursday while the constituent assembly was still voting on a constitution which Islamists say enshrines Egypt's new freedoms.

Video: Morsi loyalists rewrite Egyptian constitution

Human rights groups have voiced misgivings, especially about articles related to women's rights and freedom of speech.

The text limits the president to two four-year terms, requires him to secure parliamentary approval for his choice of prime minister, and introduces a degree of civilian oversight over the military - though not enough for critics.

The draft constitution also contains vague, Islamist-flavored language that its opponents say could be used to whittle away human rights and stifle criticism.

For example, it forbids blasphemy and "insults to any person", does not explicitly uphold women's rights and demands respect for "religion, traditions and family values."

The draft injects new Islamic references into Egypt's system of government but retains the previous constitution's reference to "the principles of sharia" as the main source of legislation.

"We fundamentally reject the referendum and constituent assembly because the assembly does not represent all sections of society," said Sayed el-Erian, 43, a protester in Tahrir and member of a party set up by opposition figure Mohamed ElBaradei.

Several independent newspapers said they would not publish on Tuesday in protest. One of the papers also said three private satellite channels would halt broadcasts on Wednesday.

Egypt cannot hold a new parliamentary election until a new constitution is passed. The country has been without an elected legislature since the Supreme Constitutional Court ordered the dissolution of the Islamist-dominated lower house in June.

The court is due to meet on Sunday to discuss the legality of parliament's upper house.

Meanwhile, at the protests, two people have been killed and hundreds wounded in protests by disparate opposition forces drawn together and re-energized by a decree they see as a dictatorial power grab.

PhotoBlog: Dueling demonstrations in Cairo

Tens of thousands of Egyptians had protested against Morsi on Friday. "The people want to bring down the regime," they chanted in Cairo's Tahrir Square, echoing the trademark slogan of the revolts against Hosni Mubarak and Arab leaders elsewhere.

In the protests supporting Morsi, Mohamed Noshi, 23, a pharmacist from Mansoura, north of Cairo, said he had joined the rally in Cairo to support the president's decree. "Those in Tahrir don't represent everyone. Most people support Morsi and aren't against the decree," he said.?

Mohamed Ibrahim, a hardline Salafi Islamist scholar and a member of the constituent assembly, said secular-minded Egyptians had been in a losing battle from the start.

"They will be sure of complete popular defeat today in a mass Egyptian protest that says 'no to the conspiratorial minority, no to destructive directions and yes for stability and sharia (Islamic law)'," he told Reuters.

"We want stability. Every time, the constitutional court tears down institutions we elect," said Yasser Taha, a 30-year-old demonstrator at the Islamist rally in Cairo.

Syria: Airport road reopens but Internet still cut

BEIRUT (AP) ? Syrian rebels battled regime troops south of Damascus on Friday and Internet and most telephone lines were cut for a second day, but the government reopened the road to the capital's airport in a sign the fighting could be calming, activists said.

The general manager of the Syrian Civil Aviation Agency, Ghaidaa Abdul-Latif, said the airport was operating "as usual" on Friday. On Thursday, international flights were canceled because of the violence.

President Bashar Assad's regime and opposition activists blamed each other for the communications blackout, which is the first to hit the whole country since Syria's 20-month-old uprising began.

Syrian authorities previously have cut Internet and telephones in areas ahead of military operations. On Friday, some land lines were working sporadically.

An Associated Press reporter in the capital said Damascus was largely quiet, although there were sounds of fighting in the suburbs.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the main road to Damascus' airport reopened early Friday afternoon. Intense clashes broke out after midnight in villages and towns near the facility but the area was calm by the late morning, the group said. It said rebels were able to destroy several army vehicles near the airport.

The Observatory, which has a network of activists around Syria, reported fighting in other southern neighborhoods of Damascus, including Qaboun and Hajar Aswad. The Observatory said it was able to contact its sources who used satellite telephones.

Activists say Assad's regime pulled the plug on the Internet on Thursday, perhaps in preparation for a major offensive. Cellphone service also went out in Damascus and parts of central Syria, they said. The government blamed rebel fighters for the outages.

Thursday's violence appeared to be focused on southern suburbs near the airport, forcing the military to shut the road to the facility. The surrounding districts have been strongholds of rebel support since the uprising began.

Thursday's fighting wounded two Austrian soldiers assigned to the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force in the Golan Heights when their convoy came under fire on the way to the airport, Austria Press Agency said.

The two were transferred to Israel for treatment Friday and their condition is not life-threatening, said David Ratner, a spokesman for Rambam Hospital in Haifa. He said the two soldiers suffered gunshot wounds ? one to the chest and the other to the hand.

With pressure building against the regime on several fronts and government forces on their heels in the battle for the northern commercial hub of Aleppo, rebels have recently begun pushing back into Damascus after largely being driven out of the capital following a July offensive. One Damascus resident reported seeing rebel forces near a suburb of the city previously deemed to be safe from fighting.

The Internet outage, confirmed by two U.S.-based companies that monitor online connectivity, is unprecedented in Syria's uprising against Assad, which activists say has killed more than 40,000 people since the revolt began in March 2011.

Regime forces have suffered a string of tactical defeats in recent weeks, losing air bases and other strategic facilities. The government may be trying to blunt additional rebel offensives by hampering communications.

U.S. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland on Thursday condemned what she called the regime's "assault" on Syrians' ability to communicate with each other and express themselves. She said the move spoke to a desperate attempt by Assad to cling to power.

As the rebels and government vie for the upper hand in an increasingly bloody struggle, the conflict's toll on civilians is worsening.

The U.N. refugee agency said Friday it found desperate conditions in the Syrian city of Homs, where thousands of people are living in unheated shelters and a quarter of million people are displaced from their homes.

An assessment team visiting this week saw half of the city's hospitals shut down and "severe shortages of basic supplies ranging from medicine to blankets, winter clothes and children's shoes," the agency's spokeswoman, Melissa Fleming, said.

The violence on the ground, meanwhile, has overshadowed a slow diplomatic process.

Lakhdar Brahimi, the United Nations envoy for Syria, said Thursday that divisions in the Security Council are blocking progress toward ending the violence in Syria, and any eventual cease-fire will require the presence of an international peacekeeping force.

Brahimi said he has the elements for a possible peace plan, but those elements "cannot be put together until the (Security) Council has come together and is ready to adopt a resolution that will be the basis for a political process."

World powers remain divided on how to stop Syria's crisis, with the U.S. and many Arab and European nations calling for Assad to step down, while Russia, China and Iran continue to back the regime. Moscow and Beijing have vetoed three Western-backed Security Council resolutions that would pressure Assad, including with the threat of sanctions, to halt the violence, and the U.N.'s most powerful body remains paralyzed.

All About Legal Issues In Nursing ? Dentistry, Health and Fitness ...

Legal issues in nursing is a matter nurses should know about to be able to protect themselves as well as their patients. In instances when a nurse is not mindful, he could find himself in a position in which his license and his profession could possibly be on the line due to both negligence or medical malpractice. If these issues occur, a nurse or sometimes an institution may find themselves in the middle of a lawsuit.

Negligence is when a nurse fails to perform his duty according to standards set by the board or by an institution. An example would be failing to monitor a patient who just woke up from anesthesia. This could result in the patient?s vital signs becoming unstable and may lead to a grave condition such as the patient losing consciousness or a decrease in the oxygen in his system.

Even if you do not plan to commit carelessness, you?re still liable because you did not perform your duties in accordance with policy. Neglecting to do a thing is equally as negative performing a task the wrong way. Since the nursing profession is all about person?s lives, neglecting to do a function could be dangerous and may cause harm to a individual?s well being or may even cost them loss of life.

Faults in drugs is also a legal issue which can come to attention. As a result of busy atmosphere in a health care facility, a health care worker has to be vigilant in preparation and giving medications due to the fact several mistakes may arise in relation to this particular matter.

Occasionally, you may give the incorrect medication to a client. Or perhaps the right medication but through the inappropriate route. Or maybe the incorrect dosage of the right medicine.

These kinds of mistakes may be prevented by being meticulous and multiple checking out medication orders before providing them. Merely being constantly vigilant and making sure you devote enough attention to these details can lessen the risk of a nurse losing his job and his license.

(AP) ? The 2012 Atlantic hurricane season that spawned the destruction of Sandy and Isaac has come to an end as one for the record books.

There were 19 named storms in what meteorologists consider an above-average year that tied as being the third most-active season since 1851. The season runs from June 1st to November 30th, although tropical storms can and do sometimes develop outside those dates.

Even without a so-called major storm reaching the U.S., there was plenty of damage. A storm is classed as major once it becomes a Category 3 hurricane, with top sustained winds of 111 miles per hour (178 kph) and more.

Seven years have now gone by without a major hurricane making U.S. landfall, the longest stretch on record.

Dennis Feltgen, a spokesman for the National Hurricane Center, said a persistent jet stream pattern has steered storms away from the U.S. in recent years.

It wasn't enough to keep away Sandy, which morphed from hurricane to superstorm as it slammed into the New Jersey coast in October and wreaked havoc across the Northeast. It left millions without power and killed at least 125 people in the U.S. and 71 in the Caribbean.

The storm is estimated to have caused about $62 billion in damage and other losses in the U.S., most of it in New York and New Jersey. It is the second-costliest storm in U.S. history after 2005's Hurricane Katrina.

Hurricane Isaac struck southern Louisiana in August on the eve of Hurricane Katrina's seventh anniversary, swamping the Gulf Coast after trudging through the Gulf of Mexico and delaying the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla.

Sandy combined with an early winter storm and blast of artic air from the north to create a deadly brew meteorologists coined "Frankenstorm" and struck two days before Halloween.

A somewhat similar phenomenon occurred with the so-called Perfect Storm off the coast of New England in 1991, but that storm did not strike a major metropolitan region like Sandy.

"This was certainly one for the record books," Feltgen said.

A typical hurricane season has 12 named storms, six of which become hurricanes and three major storms. This year 10 storms became hurricanes and just one a Category 3 or higher, though it remained in the Atlantic Ocean.

Four storms in all made landfall, including Tropical Storm Beryl, which struck Jacksonville, Fla., with 75 miles per hour winds, the strongest tropical storm to strike the U.S. before hurricane season officially starts.

Whether next year's hurricane season will bring another calamitous strike is still too early to predict.

"You can't use this year as a gauge for next year," Feltgen said. "You have to go into each season thinking, 'This is the year I'm going to be hit and I have to be ready for it."

The big difference is that with streaming you can listen without paying upfront. There is a way bigger audience for that. This graph below created by?Spotifyclassical.com?shows how much bigger the potential audience is.

@ HansH Quote "how much bigger the potential audience is"

Potential..

meaning non real number we hope might happen..

A FM radio station in a medium/small sized market has the POTENTIAL to play a song to?1 million people, but we all know thats meaningless as each station only gets a 'market share'.. so the REAL NUMBER? might be only 50,000 ..

Its the REAL WORLD numbers people are interested in..

Saying (paraphrased) "there might be 800 million music listeners, so if we reached every single one of them your song could potentially make you 1 milllion dollars"

sounds great.. except that number is COMPLETELY MADE UP, and not even achievable, now or in the future!!!

just sayin...

Why does that look exactly like a downward spiral?

I can't help but think while it is nice Rhapsody pays more than other services, they do it for nothing. No artists ever seem to appreciate it. They deny them the same music they deny from other streaming services that pay less. They group them into the same group of companies every time they complain about streaming. Honestly I feel sorry for the company. They truly do a pretty good job at bringing in decent royalties, by not having a free service, by having a $15 per month plan, and only allowing existing customers access to the $5 per month plan. And it is hurting them more than it is helping them.

For whatever reason or reasons Rhapsody has been this marginal player for more than 10 years. ?They got a million subs finally after ten years and a big acquisition but no one's heard of them and they never got out of the US. ?Maybe the top guys pack up and leave at 6 PM every day who knows.

Spotify on the other hand is BIG, global, financed, 5-X the subs in 1/5th the time. ?They aren't trying to survive they want to take over the world and don't mind if there's an EPIC fail on the way.

So Rhapsody pays more in this closed insular pod of theirs but it really doesn't mean that much and the first decision on streaming has to do with Spotify.

I don't understand the iTunes Match part. You've already paid for the download, so how does it re-pay for itself? Can someone explain this part??

Reply

Visitor Friday, November 30, 2012

Presumably it's based on an illegal download which is then uploaded into your itunes match account where it then begins to generated royalties.

Reply

paul Friday, November 30, 2012

That's sort of the idea I was going for with that. ?In many (or, I'd argue most) cases, the download was not paid for. ?So, I separated the iTunes Match money from the iTunes Store upfront payment (if there was one).

Now, in the case where it is an iTunes Match payout based on an actual iTunes Store purchase (or Amazon MP3 or otherwise paid for track), the analysis gets a bit convoluted, I understand. ?But hopefully that separates out some of the assumptions and nuances on that part of the graph.

The broader analysis on all of this is interesting, as well: the Apple rhetoric on iTunes Match is that it's all extra, a token sprinkle that all artists should appreciate. ?I think that story is a bit of a stretch, though Apple did pay for those rights and is paying money.

I challenge you to post a story that HansH and Casey don't comment on.

Apparently these two either don't work (common in the music business) or their jobs are so insignificant that they can waste hours a day commenting on DMN without any negative side effects.

I know it's a tough challenge.

Most of the musicians and engineers on this board are probably chained to their computers all day long.

Posting here is a nice break.

Now, I don't agree with HansH or Casey on anything -- but everybody should be heard. That also goes for the occasional torrentfreaks posing as mad artists in favour of death penalty for pirates.

Slickly from the standpoint of a song, there is a bogus comparison going on here.

A download - where a copy of the recording is permanently transferred to the user's device - is the same as a record sale... The compulsory royalty rate set by law is .091.

But Pandora is a streaming service that follows strict DMCA rotation rules and does not offer permanent downloads ...? So, it is more akin to radio. ?

Additionally, Pandora does not offer 'on demand' streaming ... you can't call a specific song you want to hear it.

Both Rhapsody and Spotify offer 'on demand' streaming and pay a higher rate to do so because, in theory, being able to hear a song when you want to eliminates the need to purchase a CD or a download.

Therefore, with respect to Pandora - and again, I'm only talking about the song ... not the recording of that song ... only a performance right is involved and performance fees are calculated on a different basis than download fees.

There are so many configurations and separate fees related to each configuration that comparing them all to the straight download rate of .091 makes no sense at all and is a complete waist of time.

As I have pointed out before, there is no one comparing these to terrestial radio. For fair perspective, it would be important to see where radio fits in.?

I'm on board with that argument going around, as well, but there is a difference for some. If you listen to terrestrial radio you have to listen to (or turn off) whatever's on. You have no choice or say. You do on some online companies, as well. Pandora for the most part.

Other sites, like Spotify, is all choice. People are choosing exactly what they want to hear. So that argument isn't really valid across the board.?

On that point, it's actually quite difficult to distill a per-play penny-rate on terrestrial radio. ?Keep in mind terrestrial radio DOES pay rights owners, just not recording rights owners. ?So there are streams going to ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, often in substantial quantities but they are typically formulas and percentages based on station revenues and gigantic pots of distributed cash. ?

There's actually a similar dynamic going on with satellite radio (ie, Sirius), and Pandora loves to compare the percentage of its total revenue to other formats like satellite, terrestrial streaming, etc. ?The place where that breaks down is that Pandora's revenues themselves are challenged, so the comparison can be extremely misleading. ?In testimony from SoundExchange president Michael Huppe, terrestrial radio streaming had double the per-stream negotiated payout, for example.

Can Revenue-Share Save The Music Industry?

Can independent musicians make money in today?s digital age? Can revenue-share help independent musicians make decent compensation for their art?

Currently poised to begin a new era of revenue and profit generation, IMRadio already has 85,000 independent musicians' original "royalty-free" songs in its internet radio rotation.? The company will continue to attract independent musicians because of its planned revenue-share model.? The revenue-share model is designed to provide a larger percentage of the revenue stream to IMRadio?s independent musicians.

IMRadio never pays royalties on the music it broadcasts, enabling the company to offer a balanced revenue-share model for artist compensation.? Clear Channel Communications, the nation?s largest radio broadcaster, recently bucked traditional royalty based compensation by instituting an ad revenue-sharing package for the label Big Machine Records.? IMRadio had the foresight four years ago, when it went live on the Internet, to realize that the royalty model for artist compensation was going to be short-lived in this new digital age.

IMRadio is re-creating a new Music Culture, focused on a profitable business model for both the new Music Industry AND Independent Musicians/Labels.?

IMRadio (Independent Musician Radio) is an innovative international entertainment company that has a passion for revolutionizing the music industry.??IMRadio plans to empower the massive market of today?s independent musicians to actually make money with their music.

Historic Boston church considers sale of hymnal

(AP) ? One of the nation's oldest churches is considering selling a copy of the first book ever published in British North America.

Members of the Old South Church in Boston on Sunday are scheduled to vote on whether to sell one of their two copies of the Bay Psalm Book, published in 1640, along with a collection of Colonial-era silver. They say the sale could help pay for repairs and assure the financial future of the church, established in 1669.

A Sotheby's executive calls the psalm book "the Gutenberg Bible of America," and says it could fetch $10 million to $20 million at auction. Just 11 copies remain.

The church's lay leadership has mostly endorsed the idea.

Some remain strongly opposed. Church historian Jeff Makholm calls the sale "preposterous and irresponsible."

Redray 4K Cinema Player is ready to preorder, $1,450 for highres, framerate at home

We got a peek at Red's Redray 4K Cinema Player and Projector back in April at NAB, but now you can bring the player portion of it to your own home very soon. You'll need to bring your own 4K Ultra HD display but for $1,450 you can pre-order a unit capable of native 4,096 × 2,160 or 3,840 x 2,160 video playback (in .RED file format) and upscaling. It connects to 4K displays via one HDMI 1.4 port or 4 HDMI 1.3 ports, with an additional HDMI jack needed to push 7.1 audio. It's even ready for the new high framerate 3D video that we'll see debut at theaters next week with The Hobbit. There's no mention of the Red Laser Projector yet, so you'll have to BYO 4K display, which right now would probably mean something by LG or Sony.

To get content home Red is also launching its nationwide fiber-based Odemax.com over-the-top distribution network. Red co-owner Jarred Land calls it the "only comprehensive distribution solution for 4K," with built-in DRM, sales and analytics tools. He goes on to say that the Redray player will begin shipping at the end of December, with volume shipping promised in Q1 2013. A new RRencoder plugin for the Redcine-X viewer will launch in mid-December for converting external footage to the .RED format, and finally Odemax is scheduled to come online in January in time for the Sundance film festival. Check for more details after the break, plus a few more pics and a press release with all the specs.

=The Legion of Ioka=

Leadership-
  1. Zeenoth, Arch Demon of Ioka (Demi-God)
  2. Deviants, Serpentine Commanders
  3. Dualists (Top Demoirs of Specialization)
  4. Greater Demoir (Giant Beasts)
  5. Specialized Demoir
  6. Demoir

Demoir- The classic Demoir ranges from 6 to 6 1/2 feet tall but despite their height, they are actually not very big. The reason is because their human-like bodies differ with their oversized legs and arms compared to the people of Earth. They are forced to walk in a primate stance with their elongated arms touching the ground. The appearance of a Demoir is a frightening to say the least. Between their charred black skin and beady red eyes, Demoirs have a tendency to terrorize their enemy just with their presence.

Abilities- Standard Demoir's have no special qualities about them and are very much mortal. They are surprisingly agile and very quick, attacking in fast succession and without mercy or comprehension of their opponent.

Weakness Demoir's move based off instinct so intelligence isn't their strong suit.
